Washing eVent - Liquid detergents?

Anyone have any ideas about what happens with biological detergents for cleaning?

I'm thinking they might be good at removing oils etc if something like an event cycling jacket is pretty dirty (say from a bike chain, fixing a rear puncture in the pouring rain, to chose something completely at random)

Kelvin - is it this one?

If so it looks like it may be discontinued. I'll have a look next time I go in though. Thanks.

That's the one.

I've been on the look out for that in Tesco but so far haven't seen it (nothing similar in Morrisons or Sainsbury's either). Is it one of those super-sized Tescos you shop at, Kelvin?

I use liquid soap flakes on all my eVent gear, then steam iron it (on low of course). Good as new every time.

So where do you buy yours from Mockingjay? Nothing in my Tesco. I've seen it on Ebay but unless you buy 6 bottles at once it's not really worth it.

I got mine from Waitrose. They had a plentiful supply and it's cheap.

Thanks. A Waitrose has finally arrived in the frozen North so I'll check that out.

My local Tesco Extra used to do both the Soap Flakes and the Liquid soap but a few months ago the liquid soap "did a runner".  No one in my branch could give me a reason why they ceased to stock it but based on previous posts it looks like Tesco have given up on it.  I have looked in other large Supermarkets like Sainsburys, Morrisons and Asda but no sign of it.  Interesting that Waitrose stock it.
