Anybody out there that uses an apple IMac for mapping and gps, at the moment I am using PC running memory map, and need software that will run on a Mac, or anybody running MM on an IMac, any suggestions would be welcome, thanks

i run tracklogs on a mac using parallels and a copy of windows.

parallels sets up the space within which you can run other operating systems. you then load a copy of windows. then use it as you would a windoze pooter and load MM.

it's an expensive pain in the butt but it's really the only solution you have.

anquet do a mac mapping programme. do not go there. it's truly, truly dreadful.

Anquet has/had a Mac desktop application for a while. It was okay, but not very Mac-like if that makes sense. Odd to use. Route Buddy exists, but again feels clunky to me. Unless you want to run a Windows partition of some kind, I'd consider using one of the online mapping sites instead. Ordnance Survey Getamap is okay and you can use it in free mode to see if you like it and there are other options also.

Virtualbox allows you to run Windows on Mac & is free.  I use it to run XP/7 on Linux.  Works well.

I use Grough on my iMac and it runs perfectly. Annual subscription £20.00 with complete Landranger and Explorer coverage.
