So far I think there's rumblings in the camp about a meet up for early August, Alex has suggested Blencathra, I'm thinking of something in the Lakes area but if anyone has more suggestions, lets ave em

Here's my reasoning for Blencathra...

1. Easy for everyone to get to...Just off the motorway and handy for the train too.

2. Something for everyone on the mountain...Scrambles and easy walks on the same hill!

But I'm easy...and open to suggestions. (I may even have a nice new jacket by then too!)

Going to a party on Aug 17th (a mate's coming all the way from New Zealand - can't miss it), apart from that sounds good.
Still haven't scrambled much in the lakes - other possibilities Great Gable/Sca Fell area? but too close to the September wasdale meet?
Some good scrambling also in the Coniston area.

I love this can/can't do weekends thing that goes on for each meet up! It's brill...

As long as we sort of sort it out now, I should be available for every weekend in August and for the 7/8th September one.

Jeannie, does "make it after Aug 3rd" mean that you can't do that weekend?

To be honest as the September one is early in September I'd rather like to see the August one early too. 3/4th is the best for me if I was to pick a date.

There's already a couple of threads along a similar line with apparently no definite decisions made.

Just name a date & a venue. Then those who can't go, don't go, those who can say yeah.
Ought to be simple really.

Dave's thread, Dave's August meet, let him name his date & venue.

Otherwise, we'll have another thread over 10 pages with no definitive decision.

There's already another two. Indeed the thread title on this AUGUST is a bad start.

Well Aug is good for me with exceptions but choose a date and then I'll see If I can do it or not and yea I can do some weekdays in Aug!
