Climbing partner needed in Swindon

I recently moved from Andover to Swindon and I'm looking for a climbing partner or two to meet at The Ridge climbing wall in Swindon. Male or female, any age range, preferably capable of belaying and top-roping, but anyone interested in learning would be acceptable. I've been climbing for about 9 years, but I'm still not very good (never seem to get enough practice!). I'm also interested in winter climbing/mountaineering aswell if anyone needs an ice-climbing partner, but I'm mainly interested in regular meets at the climbing wall in preparation for a spring and summer of weekend climbing trips.

Anyone interested ?

Are you THE Tony Walmsley whose parents were Gladys and Syd?

Thanks John, I'll try the ukclimbimg website.

Jeannie, I am THE Tony Walmsley, but not the one whose parents were Gladys and Syd! Mine are Keith and Brenda. Originally I'm from Up North (Golborne) near Wigan, but I'm a naturalised southener now.

Hey, I've just moved to Swindon from Scotland and am thinking about getting back into climbing. I haven't climbed for about 8 months. If your still looking for a climbing partner then I'd be interested.

Sounds good to me. I haven't got round to posting on ukclimbing.com as I'm pretty busy for the next few weeks, but if you send me an email we can arrange to meet at the Swindon wall sometime. Try mailing me from my profile and if it fails just reply on here instead. I did try to mail you a resonse but your details are private.

Speak to you soon.

Tony I would be up for some climbing at the weekends mate, depending on work commitments. I am also going to be doing some routes in N Wales as soon as the weather gets better.

Andy, weekends would normally be good for me but the next few weekends are all busy, so I won't be free until the 2nd weekend of March! The plan is to spend 1 weekend away each month in the Lakes or Wales, so if that fits in with your Wales trips it would suit me fine. Having thought about it, I could do tomorrow afternoon (Sat 31st) if you'd like to meet at the Swindon wall ?

Sorry Tony, I am busy catching up with work! I have just spent the last few days in N.Wales, now I am feeling guilty.
March sounds good and alternate weekends there after.
I will drop you an email nearer the time and possible dates for weekends in March.
