To celebrate Stephen's summer visit to Europe, we're proposing a weekend's walking in the Peak District. Don't know exactly where yet, but suggest one day in the White Peak & one in the Dark.

All welcome to join us

Bloody 'ell, Mills - yet another meet I can't do cos of a previous commitment I can't get out of. Is this a conspiracy?

I'd have loved to have joined y'all - I'm developing a taste for the Peak District and me and Kinder have unfinished business to settle.

I can't do that 'quotes' thing, but I should be able to do at least one of the days! Just try to keep it under 15 miles this time!!

Hi Milly,

Nice one for organising the meet, we are really looking forward to that weekend.

So that is Lesley Ann and I that will be attending.

Can't do quotes either on an iPad

Cheers,

Stephen

Aww, that's slap-bang in the middle of my summer holiday, so won't be able to make it
We'll have to catch up some other time Stephen...

That's fine Milly. I didn't need the shortcuts last time so hopefully I won't this time either!!

Hello Milly,

I've not been on this website for a few years.

Wouldn't mind joining you.
Love the Peak.

I will confirm closer to the date.

Thanks.

Hi Rob,

That's a shame, we will be in Scotland the week before if any good to you (also will be their in the New Year). Husky and I may be planning a trip in the Wicklw Mountains for 21-23rd Dec also.

Be good

Stephen

I might be up for this, the dark peak walk anyway, would be nice to meet a few of you weirdos.

Guess we're looking at Kinder? which is doable for me via public transport from Sheffield via Edale but a huge no-no from any other meet up point as i currently can't drive and links are shit from anywhere else, i'm not into taking several buses for a day walk.

Twiglegs,

I could probably give you a lift into the Peak if we are based on the Sheffield side of the Peak????

We're supposed to be away at Sidmouth Festival but not going if the weather's still crap - so I'll join you....subject to bad weather!

Was up around Kinder t'other day. It was, er, interesting!

Welcome back to OM, Rach

Sorry, Mini Mal

Twigs - not sure where yet, but if you don't manage to sort a lift with Rach, we'll do all manner of weirdo things to make sure you can join us

JJ - only coming if the weather is foul and giving Kinder 'the worst of the man-eating fetid swampy bits' a really hard sell. Anyone fancy Bleaklow

All welcome to join us

  1. Milly, Sat & Sun
  2. No longer the office manager should be able to do at least one
  3. Stephen for the weekend
  4. Lesley Ann for the weekend
  5. Rach perhaps
  6. Twiglegs if he can find suitable transport
  7. JJ if it wasses it down, or worse!

Thanks Milly

Don't mind where we walk. All is good fun!

Rach, sorry for the belated reply, my pc has a ghost in it atm, something i can't fathom strangely being somewhat of an expert pc boff when it comes to viruses, malware etc removal. Very kind of you to offer and i'll keep it in mind closer to the date.

I'm 1 mile outside Sheffield city centre so pick ups are usually quite simple as i can make just about any meet up point easily.

Thanks.

Your welcome

Sounds cool. My only problem is how to get to the venues. If I can get a bit of notice I should be able to borrow Dad's car. Failing that I may be able to get a lift from a kind car driver living near Leek?

Hi Simon, if you can get a bus to Buxton then we should be able to give you a lift wherever we're headed
