This morning I went to see a gig on Snowdon. Heard about it last night at about midnight and with a few mates climbed frist to the half way stop on the Llanberis path up Snowdon, where there were 3 folk singers performing live to raise cancer awareness and as a fundraiser. The main man is a guy called Mark Robinson I think. He recently suffered Lukemia and now is either well again or on the mend. There were welsh guars up there carrying the film/sound/instruments up there. And even two welsh guards dressed in the palace guard uinforms at the top, in the tall wooly hats. And about 200 people or so at the summit all sat down together in the cold wind and fog with the 3 folk guitarists singing classics that everyone was singing along to. It was so surreal to have a gig up there and people were in such a good mood. Very good day. Anyone else up there?
Saw a couple of right sour looking people though, whilst loads of locals, cancer victims, welsh guards, people on a DOE, mountain rescue teams and all sorts were up there, cuple of walkers reached the top not knowing what going on and looked really hacked off about it all, misurable sods.
It was a really excelent time though, and they will do it again next year apparently.
