Hi everyone!
I am looking for some trekking group (or individual) in summer 2012, which want to go GR54 route known as "Tour the Oisans" around NP Barre des Ecrins in France. I would like just to JOIN to someone, I have experiences from travelling, mountains and long trekking (e.g. GR11), so I think I will have no problem with that - I can be "individual unit" and I just would like to "go with people", not "alone" through all mountains. As I said I will not depend to anybody, just talk with you time to time, or walk next to you . So, if you are going to walk that trek this summer, please, let me know to me email andrew.nemecek[at]yahoo.com . You can also visit my website http://ondran.ic.cz with many photos from mountains I have visited --

Looking forward to your answers,
Andrew - 23 years-old student from the Czech republic

I'm considering doing this trek myself this summer. Do you have specific dates planned?

Hi!

thanks a lot for your answer!
I have not any specific date, BUT I think the best (or better than other choices for me) is to go at the beginning of the August - maybe the weather will be more stable (but who know..?) then in June/July, less (or no) snow in saddles etc. So I am a little decided to go in this part of summer - but what is your plan? Do you have some specific date?

If you want, you can send me an email to my address - andrew.nemecem(at)yahoo.com then to write more details there. But it is up to you.

Looking forward to your answer, Andrew.

A typing error crept into my email address -- andrew.nemecek(at)yahoo.com -- that is correct. A.

Remember that nearly all of France goes on holiday in August. the GR54 is likely to be quieter in late July and early September.

John,

thanks for the advice! But it is truth I have not enough time to go later than at the beginning of the August (because of my other trip..), but I will see - it also depend on Wanderlust (if we decided to go together there) and his plan.

Thanks again A.

I have already return flights to Geneva, flying out on 21 July and returning on 5 August. I will need to stay overnight in Geneva on the 21, then travel to Bourg d'Oisains the following day.

This should be enough time to fit in the trek, maybe even enough time to allow for a side-trip or a rest day.

Great pics, Ed...I have not done much research yet, so I might need to pick your brains about this route.

Such brains as they are...

I've got a few (ahem) hyperlinks...

Wanderlust: I also think it is enough time to do this trek, I will have a talk with one of my friends who (maybe) want to go with me, so I will wait for his suggestion (I think he want to go earlier than me and than you) and let you know. I will send you next time a personal message, because this topic will be probably old --- thanks, stay in touch A.
