Lakes, Kentmere Horseshoe - extravaganza, part 2

We got rained on for most of the weekend last year and views were scarce, so thought we'd try again with an expectation of glorious weather

Meet at Mosedale Cottage NY49485 09471 Friday night. Who knows if we'll need to camp outside, but there's plenty of space!

Walking the horseshoe clockwise and wild camp on Saturday night.

Get to lawd knows where by Sunday teatime and then remember where we left the cars

dunno about walking my fav walk the Kentmere shoe just yet hip wise but ya never know by then...

I'd really love to do this one but I've already got a trip booked that weekend that I can't get out of (not that I want to - twill be a good jaunt)

In fact, all of August is out for me. No chance of rescheduling until September I suppose?

Haha yep even booked the friday off work so I will be missing the lovely m6 traffic for a change

Glenn, I may be able to head up with you, or poss on Thurs evening if you fancy - then get a full day on Friday too.

Only prob is, I may be worse company than normal let you know by Tues evening/wed morning.

I have brought back a bottle of something from Ireland I would like to use - if it isnt drunk then could use it as fuel

i might join yous too if thats ok..but will be camping high never been a valley camper  too much climbing in mornings and deffo too amny flying critters.....you all staying in bothy....bothy grass area...might be out earlier in wk too if any ones up ealier.. peter
