How irritating! An appalling formatting faux pas; shall have to complain to the management!

Still a few annoying glitches, I agree. I've just followed the link on the 'notofications' email and was taken to page one of this thread. It does that to me with 'notifcations' for the Bennachie thread also.

I will get on and book the site today. Have been away for last 10 days and not had a chance to do anything

Bob is looking more than hopeful now as knee behaving and walking seems OK and biking. Hopefully will not need flippers.

Bummer

I've just found out I have a work-related evening engagement on Friday 31 August. I cannot get out of it and I won't get home until gone midnight.

In the morning, by the time I've driven all the way from east Warwickshire to the Brecon Beacons you lot will be halfway through the Saturday walk.

So, with great regret, I'll withdraw my name from this one and also Teesdale Viking who was relying on me for a lift.

Revised to remove Skip and the Viking - they can't make it after all.

  1. Chewie (2 nights)
  2. Kate (2 nights)

  4. Bob (hopefully!)
  5. Mini Mal ( without his Mac), hopefully.

  7. Pete (possibly - 2 nights)
  8. GB (2 nights)

Shame about that Skip, but I'll see you at the Malvern meet the Sunday after.

Bugger! I've just discovered that I've been ignoring Chewie for some reason - no wonder some of the posts on here didn't make much sense! Sorry Chewie, not intentional and nothing personal! (Not a good idea to ignore the person organising a meet )

I've rectified the situation now.

I've also just noticed that I'm the only one who hasn't specified how many nights I want to spend at the campsite... 2 please!

MM,

probably a good idea to ignore my posts as they dont make any sense  anyway
Campsite booked for 9 peeps - advised them mostly solo tents plus the "party tent". Mrs Chewie is threatening to come and make sure I behave again !

Hoorah! Hope Mrs Chewie can make it

maybe I will unchain her from our kitchen sink so she can be chained to the campsite sink Though she likes to have a break from me sometimes, with our 25th wedding anniversary pending - she deserves just a bit of respite probably wouldnt walk much with us if she does.

BOING!!

18/08/2012 at 23:58

Hi Chewie and everyone else. Shame I cant make this meet as I really quite fancied it any how I just did my back in on thursday whilst swimming of all things and am laid up like a proper rasberry ripple. Anyway hope you all have a good time and the weathers good for you. Please report back your route as I may use it as a basis for a walk next time I venture out that way.

20/08/2012 at 22:43

Simon - how much is the campsite?  Do we owe you, and if so, do you want some dosh?

20/08/2012 at 23:00

Nothing to pay at the mo. campsite is £7 per night each according to their website

Plan on BBQ for Friday, depending what time peeps will get there.

I will bring the BBQ and some burgers, and can make some salads up (thats healthy stuff to you northerners) anyone want to bring anything else.

I have some sausages left from the last BBQ, when each person brought enough for everyone so we had rather a lot left over! Think it's a pack of 6 or 8.

21/08/2012 at 19:01

plenty of sausages then- just found a big bag from my sons BBQ 30 I think

21/08/2012 at 19:33

Gone from hopeful to definite (subject to plagues and floods - a distinc possibilty in this part of the world.)

Will consider something for BBQ unless you would rather suggest something to avoid a feast of sausages.
