I have returned from an 18 month stint in Mongolia and I am dying to get out into the Lakes or Scottish Highlands this August. Trouble is I no longer have any mates who do tis kind of thing. Anyone interested in a trip after 19th August onwards? I am going back to Mongolia beginning of September...

There's a fair bit going on on OM at the moment - there's a thread in the Meets and Partners Section, Milly's Meet Diary, I think it's called, which'll tell you what's going on, but not sure if there's anything planned in Lakes / Scotland before you head off again.

I am living in Wakefield but returning to Mongolia early September MS.. I looked at the thread you mention Kate and there is nothing happening during my time here, except for a Kentmere meet on a weekend I have something else planned... no worries, it won't stop me doing something though

Mongolia was superb... and extremely rewarding. I was given the nickname "soul hiker" by a Mongolian hiking friend I met there!
