Might be pursuaded too. Usually do Winter Hill on a challenge walk every february but that is all about doing it fast and as part of a 24 mile walk (in 7 hours or less). Think it would be fun to do it without the rushing so I can actually admire the views.

Can I confirm nearer the time?

Would be interested in the route. Might actually have to buy the map. Can't believe I do that long walk in that area without a map. IT goes from RIvington over winter hill to white stones and back to rivington. Anglezarke Amble. Not an amble though.

Lfenbo, just a suggestion, but there are a couple of interesting archeological features on Anglezarke that might be worth visiting (round loaf and the cairn) if anyone has an interest in those kind of things.
10/11/2011 at 12:25
hello MS yes ive thought about including round loaf this year as i did point it out to last years walkers from noon hill .
10/11/2011 at 13:09
One of my targets for a night under the stars, as long as the ghosts of the place don't keep me awake...
10/11/2011 at 17:28
sooner you than me theres not much cover on round loaf apart from the spirits

It would have to be a very discreet camp, best done on a clear night so no artificial light is needed...
