Hello - I live in Cockermouth and spend as much time as I can on the fells.  This looks like a good site.

I too live and work in Cockermouth - welcome to OM Evil.   Strange name that!!!!

we're near caldbeck, so you've generally collected the worst of the rain before it gets to us

A friend of mine from the North East went walking near Caldbeck last December - his car was stuck there in snow until mid January.
