Hi,

I've been into the outdoors for longer than I care to remember, mostly wild camping. I live in Chorley Lancashire so anyone from the same place will know of Healy Nab ... I spent most of my childhood up there camping with nothing but a sheet of plastic and quilt!

More recently into hiking (usually alone) as I have gained a dog and lost a girlfriend Now spending the a small fortune on Haglofs gear.

Hi Phil, sounds like your a seasoned camper then, you'll be glad to know that a sheet of plastic is the new way forward, although a quilt is so yesterday.

I too am a convert to haglofs, although it is expensive so it could be that your small fortune was spent on just one item!

I'm sure there are a few on here who live near you so your hiking need not be with just your dog.

Welcome on board!

Hi Big Dawg.

You need to meet Diddy and organise a N.W.England meet for Haglofs addicts

Welcome to OM, sounds like you'll fit in fine!

My mum stopped me using the sheet of plastic I've no moved up to a goretex bivi and Hennessy hammock.

Just today I got myself a Haglofs Breeze daypack (only had a huge berghaus 65+10 previously). Next buy will be the rugged mountain pant so I can treck to the local shop Already own the barrier vest, Solid lite boots, Spitz jacket ........ oooo think I might go for the microban non chaffing undies too

Nothing will replace the trusty Buffalo special 6 though .........

I suspect these "introductions" threads have been bumped by a spammer.
