Just to introduce myself

Hi, my name is Brian, my user name being Croesgadwr (Welsh for 'Crusader'). I live in Flintshire, North East Wales, just a handful of miles from the Clwydian Range & part of Offas Dyke. Geocaching seems to have taken me into country walking, in particular I love walking in the hills, & if theres a geocache or two to be had then so much the better! I'm not a football fan in any way, but contrary to Liverpool FC's theme song I "Always walk alone"... loving the solitude, peace and quiet (disregarding mountain bikers, trials bikers and fellow walkers!). I came across this site purely by chance. I have contributed one or two posts on a GPS related thred on the site a couple of days ago. Thought it was only right that I should introduce myself to the wider membership.

Why geo-caching?

... Depends how you do it, you get drive-by caches (exactly as it says), and you get some remote ones in the middle of nowhere. I've always prefered the latter type. If you guy's ever see someone (more usually as a group) rooting around and acting suspiciously, then theres a fair chance that he / she or they are geocachers. I reckon that anything that prompts people to go out and walk in the countryside can't be a bad thing...

It's got to be keeping folk fit anyway, Brian.
