I can't read any of the 'latest on the site' articles.

404 error for a few days. I can read the article if i 'Google' it though!

same here: it's beginning to get a bit annoying, TBH.

Mike fae Dundee

404 Error: I have the same problem.

When I first come to the site and try to read the items : 404

When I log in and try again: 404

When I log out: 404

But, if I refresh the homepage after logging out, I can access the items .

I've done this successfully several times.

I'm no expert (far from it), but I suspect that, when I log out, the site places a 'cookie' on my pc and that, after I've refreshed the page, the cookie is recognised and I can access the news items.

My browser is set up to remove all cookies at the end of a session, i.e.  the next time I visit this site, there's no cookie and the site doesn't recognise me

Give it a try and let us know how you get on.

OK, so log out, refresh homepage and I can see all of the articles in the news section. Log back in and they all go to 404's again.....

Forums, eh?

I emailed OM several days ago about the 404 errors; didn't get a reply, but there are a few gremlins in the system atm - I couldn't post long posts yesterday for a couple of hours!

I have sent a PM to Melissa and got a reply to the effect that she will get the problem sorted.

Over to you Melissa

Looks like the links on the front page won't resolve (i.e. you get a 404 error) in my browser (Firefox v4.0.1). Here's an example link:

... if I strip out the end of the address back to the bit where it says '.html' like this:

... then it works fine. This might be quicker than hunting through Google. Hope that helps until the problem gets fixed.

Hmmm... sounds like an issue with session IDs.

I have been getting 404 errors for quite a while. I went to try the latest advice of strippping everything after the .html and found the links are working for me for the first time in ages without doing anything.
