Clive, that's an amazing account of what must have been an incredible experience. Do the Environment Agency need any snappers to record these projects? I'd be there like a shot!

Simon I hope it streamed better for you!
The quality of the film is broadcast quality in the VHS version I have! There are tech probs at the moment and I hope it will be fixed in a week!
Louise Herren the producer was rather disappointed with the quality too! There are always opportunities for people determined enough to bully or blag their way on to something like this!
I am afraid we have a camera team coming with our operation next season so thats out I am afraid! the season after will however be a different story. But more of that at the appropriate time!
a word of warning..
Nothing worthwhile is ever pleasant.

Have you ever considered coming to a meet Clive?

Any opportunities for lazy students Studying Environmental pollution Science??

Tried it in QuickTime and it murdered it, and RealPlayer at first wouldn't work at all, then it just kept defaulting to WMP.

I found the videos worked OK in WMP. You sounded like you were talking on a badly tuned-in AM radio station and the picture wasn't great, but it was watchable for now. Hope it can be made better though.

Top videos, by the way. They were very interesting to watch. It really brought the project alive!

The VHS is great! well I am talking quality wise. It was edited and written by the BBC who were roped in as they do all the Agencys website work. When I did the dubbing at Bristol the dubbing suite was full of rubbish. I pointed this out and was told rather sniffily.
"If its good enough for David Attenbourough Its good enough for you".

Fantastic!

Clive sounds great... but my question goes unanswered (though I can guess) and as Dan says ever considered coming to a meet?

David I am sure you are not lazy
And with me leading the expedition you would not be anyway! There may be opportunities for volunteers in a years time but a lot depends on my talk at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Joburg this AUtumn and the results of next seasons work on the peninsula.
I would love to come to a meet but with 4 small littleuns I find it difficult to get away further than Dartmoor or The Brecons.
I will tell OM members if there arre opportunities for volunteers and we will look carefully at all CVs etc. so as I said there are always opportunities if you are prepared to ask!
