That's a relief. Last I heard the rescue was ongoing. Glad they're all safe.

I think the Ogwen team probably deserve a bit of press attention for that one.

Is that the same spot that some canoeists were rescued from a few years back???

or was that the river that flows out of the Llyn by PyB?? (Can't remember the name of it, but flows past Betws y Coed to join the Conway.

It will be more than 10yrs ago now I think. Definately remember folks stuck on a rock in the middle of the river and the water rising.

We passed the incident on Saturday and moved over for the fire engine. The river was bad but I have seen kayak and canoe's in the river there in much worse conditions before now.

Really glad to hear that they were all rescued and are okay. Swallow Falls is not far from where they ended up so really glad they didn't reach that far down. Well done to the rescuers!

Snowdonia was like a ghost town in the severe weather on Saturday, the wind was unbelievably strong and the horizontal rain was orrible!

Aye the weather wasn't much fun on Saturday. Tried to find a sheltered scramble but was attacked by the swirling winds above Bochlwyd.

Well done to Oggy, some of their lot had a loooong and busy weekend!
