Disappearing members

Just been poking about in some older threads (don't ask) and there's loads of members who's Member pages just come up with 'Deleted or Unknown'! I can't see how you can delete yourself (in the context of OM anyway) so I wonder what's happened to them?

And what's happened to some of you regulars who never post any more?

for somereason i used to have two. cant explain why as they bth used the same e-mail addy, but when you went to the members section, there were two ben Hedleys, doint the same thing, wearing the same clobber etc. Scary huh

Hmmmmm......

Putting my IT hat on, maybe this could also be related to the lack of e-mail notifications. If the tables are getting mixed up, maybe the notifications are just going to the wrong people (dead accounts & e-mail addresses)???
