Having done the western half a couple of years ago I finished at RHB from Kirkby Stephen the other day.The walk is good and I thought I would update the situation regarding the pubs,T rooms on the way. As I camp I use the pubs for food, water and the odd libation.

Reeth, had a good meal in the Black Bull.

Catterick Bridge, good meal in The  Bridge.

Nice T room in Marske.

Ingleby Cross,The Blue Bell, kind new owners, camping in garden, full breakfast available in the morning.

Bolton on Swale  T room, soft drinks and biscuits/cake available, table with goods on verge outside.

Danby Wiske, opens irregular hours, contact ahead if needed

Lions Inn Blakey good food and busy at lunch.

As the I was wet and cold  I B and B'd at the Arncliffe Arms in Glaisdale, fine place , the power was down through the weather but fortunately the kitchen uses gas.

Calm last day in snow I yomped over Sleights moor pretty much on bearings as the footpaths were not visible, if there are any, .

I met my daughter in Hawsker- it was steak night(Wed) in the Hare Hounds(I think that is the right name)so very busy booking necessary, unable to get a table there. The family ate at the Victoria Hotel in RHB super view of the Bay.

I was in the awful conditions on Glaisdale Moor in the snow, rain and wind. My worst weather half day ever I think. Apart from the conditions main issue was that I daren't turn the map over for risk of it getting wet or blowing away. Near the end of the moor I wasn't sure of exact location. I do have a GPS but having walked off the map available a grid reference was not useful at that point, oh and visibility was down as well.

Enjoyable walk. I did do most of the variants suggested on here by Hugh Westacott to avoid some of AW's road walking
