I missed the program on F&M last night. Was that a good move by me, or did I miss anything insightful?

Jon here - not really. Just a catalogue of incompetence behind the scenes until the army were drafted in and killede everything. Never questioned the economic rationalisation behind the whole affair. Predictable. Never mentioned walkers, bikers or access, just how terrible it all was for the poor old farmers.

Erm, bit confusing posing as me and saying 'Jon here' but it really is him. Glossop man has been dragged to London for the day. Is settling in nicely. Please do not feed.

You don't look like Sally Hotchkin. I've seen the real Sal and she doesn't have that weird orange thing on her head. And she's not married either. Especially to another woman. I think you're an imposter.

certainly not partisan, by any means.

Is now clickable link... Yes, seen it before. We now have the curious situation where some areas, eg Peak, are pretty much back to normal, while others - Dales, Lakes are staggering along. But all the main outdoor areas are still suffering. Subjectively I'd say there are far fewer walkers out in Derbyshire than I'd expect at this time of year.

You also have to hope that the heatwave is helping to kill off the virus and make it easier to contain in those areas where there are still outbreakes, though there are still new cases emerging in Cumbria and N Yorks.
