I'm definitely going to this, anyone else planning a trip and fancy meeting up for a beer. Go on, you know you want to.

It's in my normal stomping ground, if I can get a place at the club rambling/climbing house and convince the better half to go (she does have to train for the Wuthering Hike, like I don't) it's worth a weekend, though we'd have to go for a walk/scramble on one of the days

As it's a twenty minute drive from my house, see you there!

I know they show films in the Heights but I've never seen one there. But Electric Mountain has some very good a/v screens - they have an 'Occasional Cinema' there, er, occasionally

Might be able to talk Mrs Ford into either:

1. Letting me out for a bit

OR

2. Comming along to have a look see.

We'll have to see...

In Trail (Feb) on pages 9-11, there's something about "The UK's first outdoors show..." (sic). Now that really does look good. There's the bouldering champiionships whcih looks interesting. There's a temperature box, which can do rain, wind, and temperatures from 40 to -30 degrees C! Highlights from the Kandal Film Festival. They're bringing a pub along as well.

20mins from my house too! And I'm sure Mrs Ford will drive!!!

TRAIL mag are doing a two for one ticket offer if you say Alex Ford had a letter published in TRAIL!

That'll be the one we've got tickets for then...

wot day Jeannie? We could make it an OUTDOORS MAGIC trip out...

Jon could get those tee-shirts done he keeps threatening and we could all go down wearing them

Or not ;)

On the Saturday. 16 March? Got free tickets from the BMC.
Is this an indoor meet then? Missed the other ones.
10/01/2002 at 23:16
How'd U get free tickets from the BMC?

I'm also in the BMC...?
10/01/2002 at 23:18
Cos I bought the Langmuir book from them at the BMC Festival of climbing. £3 off and 2 free show tickets.......

oh nice one! Cool stuff...It's gonna cost me £8 for Mrs F and myself.

An outdoors magic Indoors meet? Intersting ideas!

Incidentally, the good lady has spoken:

Llanberis OR Brum...one or the other! I think it'll be Brum for the show in March. (Closer and cheaper to-boot!)

I reckon I'll see if Ic an get the Saturday off work, and spend the whole weekend (15-17 March) in Brum, as it looks like being massive (as in size, not new term for good), and wicked (the term for good!). The temperature chamber looks like being a really good addition. The pub is a Ruddles County thing. They're pretty good aren't they?

Maybe we could all go down for the whole thing and all stay in Alex's spare room (I hope he's got a mansion!)
Alex, is that OK?

Watch out for flying objects and expletives!

Well you could all stay in my shed and meet my hobbit but we are 100 miles from Brummigem so it would be stupid.

I'm only about 40 miles away, which is near enough for me to catch the train, but I was wondering where aboutthe nearest train station to the NEC is. I hope there is one.

Well thruuupppphhhh (supposed to be a rasberry) to you lot, I'll go to Llanberis and you go to Brum. Know which one I prefer
