North Cape In Receivership

After trying to source a couple of items from north cape I've been informed by them that they are in receivership.

I'm amazed more companies don't go bust... there seems to be a maker for every walker!

The business will probably be bought as a going concern by someone. Unlikely that the manufacturing base will stay in the UK for long.

The textile industry in this country is on its last legs. Until recently Companies producing technical clothing had an edge, but that production to is now heading east.

I've edited the thread title since strictly speaking the company is in receivership - voluntarily - rather than 'bust'. They're aiming to sell the business as a going concern and are still supplying items from stock where they exist.

Most of my base-layer stuff is North Cape. I particularly like the long sleeved, high zipped neck thingy.

The company is in administrative receivership which is a formal insolvency procedure. So I wouldn't worry too much about the use of the word 'bust'.

I know about these things.

I have,....betwixed me and the manic Mrs loads of north cape stuff one being the excellent point five jkt from sister company mountain range, have these gone b**t as well?

Great base layers. Forgot how good they were until this week while wearing them cycling to and from work.

IIRC, Wild Rover (Tiso) base layers are made by North Cape or at least they were.
