Last week I lost a member of my family who I dearly loved to the madness of a driver who has subsequently been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and who refused a breath test. My wife's brother was killed whilst riding his bike on a country road, completely minding his own business.
Over the years I had grown to love him as my own brother. He loved music, and was well on the way to becoming a Marillion fan thanks to my influence - Ocean Cloud being his favourite song. In fact he really rated Marbles as a whole album generally. He was due to give 'Somewhere Else' a listen this weekend at my house and no doubt the prospect of him joining me at Rock City in Nottingham next week would have cropped up in conversation.
He and his wife lived a simple life together, preferring to work part time self employed in order to devote more time to doing things they believed in and enjoyed rather than pursuing careers. As a result his wife's financial future is a little uncertain at present. I have therefore decided to auction all my Marillion CDs that I don't think are available anymore from Racket Records. I have seen some of these going for good money on E-bay and I thought I might be able to raise some cash for his wife. It is the very least I can do to repay his kindnesses to me over many years.

There's stuff like 'Piston Broke' the 10th Anniversary Concert at the Borderline and some of the more juicy Christmas CDs containing rare concerts etc. There are 11 CDs in all. All auctions will be finishing on next Monday evening (the 11th of June).
I am contemplating adding one or two other things - I have one of the limited edition clear vinyl 'Dry Land' 10 inch singles as well as the Brave sheet music book, a tour programme from the Brave tour and a couple of other picture disc 12 inches. But I don't know whether these will spark any interest at all. Views on whether you might be interested in bidding on these would be appreciated.
I am at HMV in Nottingham next week all being well, as well as at Rock City, so can do transfers of items there.
