Over trousers

Does anyone out there make over trousers with long side Zips - like thigh length? I'm fed up struggling to get my size elevens through openings designed for children. I had a cheap pair years ago that zipped up almost to the waist and they were soooo easy to use but they got nicked in Glencoe. Oh, and please don't take me down the extreme road of water getting in through long zips - it's Scotland rarely more than 2 hours from the car I have in mind not the Karakorum.
Thanks in advance.

Fencer,

Plenty folk do; mine are ME and zip from ankle to waist. As far as I know they tend to be at the higher end of the market for hard use in winter - so you can put your trooz on with carmpons on

I used to have the same problem - size 46/47 boots and standard overtrousers. They recently expired so I bought some new ones with full length side zips - Marmot PreCip Full Zip pants - about £45 from Snow And Rock.

They're really good. Dead easy to get on even when blowing a gale. I've used them a lot this year and they perform really well. They're very light too. Not the most robust material but they spend most of the time in the rucsac anyway so who cares.
