Why are a group of intelligent adults discussing the turgidity of Alex's banana?
15/01/2002 at 21:47
Are you allowed to use the word "turgidity" in mixed company???

Surely it's no word for a lady and teacher to use when there are youngsters about!

OK I'll try its close relative - FLACCID!!

There's nothing wrong with a little Greek.

Who's a little Greek?
15/01/2002 at 23:11
About 30 Drachma a week.

Firstly I'm not Greek, and secondly, what does the A stand for of the Little fella?

Drew - it stands for Aloyisus.

Si - errmmm I think that this is the intelligent forum. God help the rest of them if this is where the intelligentsia let off steam.

I bought some new ones at Asda on the way home from work tonight...I'll keep you posted as to their daily condition.

If you want individual emails...just drop me a line and I'll gladly send em out!

J: No I don't know the fella.

Alex: There are no words to describe it. The only thing I can say is "take a weekend away... maybe even a week, and get out into the hills, and mountains" with particular emphasis on the OUT!!!

Jeannie...I bought a Papaya today...What do I do with it?????
19/01/2002 at 17:36
Don't eat the pips, they're not all they're cracked up to be and won't cure amoebas whatever the Ecuadorians might say. Never liked them much, taste a bit like sick to me, albeit a nice colour, I'd trade the papaya for a nice large mango.
When you have the mango, post here and I'll tell you a good way to eat it. All fruit in our house these days gets fed into some industrial strength blender and turned into smoothies - yum.

Cut off the skin with a sharp knife and cut the flesh into slices. Yum yum.

Especially nice on top of Bran Flakes!

Btw...Todays banana was firm and tasty, apart from a small bit at the top which had gone slightly mushy. But the dog had that bit!
