Physiognomy is the original word, shortened and anglicised to fizzog. Hence 'you possess visually attractive physiognomatic features' - the one thing you say to impress a bird (just before she kicks you in the nuts as her knowledge of ancient Greek is not as extensive as your yearning heart had hoped and longed for...)

I have a special coat with extra-long arms.

I borrowed it from that Alex person.

Is that a record, Jon, only one typo?
I almost understood it this time.

Where's my coat...I put it down for just a second and turned around and there it was...GONE!

It's those elves under your stairs. Blame them for everything - including leaving a buttery knife in the drawer. (it wasn't you, honestly!)

I blame the BBC, where's that lovely Wogan Chap...he was nice to sit down to on an evening! (despirately trying to bring the thread back to topic)
09/01/2002 at 20:54
I just teensy bit worried, Jeannie. How come you know so much about (whisper) jamie oliver (see, no capitalisation, cos I was whispering) when you hate him so much?
09/01/2002 at 20:57
Because Sir Conleys loves the recipes and has all the books.
I prefer Wozza. More subtle, and likes a drop of wine in Oz Clarke's shed.
Hic!

Wogan is still about in the evenings, he now does those "Auntie's Sporting Bloomers" and the like (and the occasional Eurovision)...... However, if you wish to listen to his voice on a more regular basis then you'll just have to tune into Radio 2 in the morning (or record it to listen in the evening).

Right, now that has been covered...... Which direction shall we take the thread now?

Did I hear someone mention "Cairns"?

: )

I'll get my coat.............
10/01/2002 at 09:11
Cairns!

Hobbits!

Alex, can I borrow your white coat again?
10/01/2002 at 19:23
Well, the Hobbit brought it at 4am, and fortunately missed the elves, so good news there...

I'll ask the elves if they fancy a good walk out, but you never know, there a right bunch of ignorant buggers, they may just keep it for themselves.

10/01/2002 at 22:08
Braintree is in Essex.
Chelmsford is in....err...somewhere down south.
Mark? Do you know? You seem to know a lot.
10/01/2002 at 22:32
Braintree is a real name....Nah never, you're pulling my leg!

If it's real, prove it!

Who famous comes from Braintree? (no-one...it doesn't exist!)
11/01/2002 at 00:11
Yep... Chelmsford is somewhere down south!

BTW.... I've always wondered how the receptionists answer the phone for the Staines office of Siemens.

Chelmsford is in Essex.

I've always thought "Wallop" was a strange place name..... There's Over Wallop, Middle Wallop & Nether Wallop all in Hampshire (between Andover & Salisbury).

Alex, look on multimap for Braintree. It's on the A120 east of Stanstead airport and west of Colchester.

I quite like Booze in the Yorkshire Dales.

p.s. - I told you that Mark knew a lot of things. That glassy look in his eyes in his photo is the sign of an enormous intellect.
