Reports from Everest ABC tonight, Chinese time, were extremely concerning. Reports are that the ropes from about 7200 meters down were cut or pulled from Everest North side including the North Col. Several climbers are still up high on the mountain. At least 7 climbers are at high camp on Summit attempts. Members of 4 or more teams are believed to be above the North col.

This is outrageous behavious that could have led to numerous fatalities. Fortunately a team were able to descend to the North Col without ropes, fixing new ones along the way for others remaining high up.
