Not even the 'card through the letterbox' can be trusted these days. If it doesn't have Royal Mail's own phone number on it, then it will be a premium rate number, which will cost you dearly if you dial it, and at the end of it all... there isn't even a parcel anyway. For some reason, I can spot a scam before it even reaches me, but others aren't so clued-up.
