Sheep - The truth

Ok, so posting this on a forum with a sheep fetish, may not be very politically correct, or sensible or popular - but I feel I need to say this to counteract the recent sheep fervour.

Sheep have done great PR for themselves. They are the masters of creating an image that simply does not reflect the truth. We've all bought into the idea that sheep are cute and fluffy and really like walking clouds. Look at Bob the sheep - little dangly legs and a fluffy round torso. Ahhhh, aren't sheep cute?

Well, don't be fooled. These guys have seriously pulled the wool over our eyes (scuse pun). Have you ever looked really closely at a sheep? They are in no way fluffy, round and white. They have thin ugly faces, are off-white and manky, their wool is course and sticky and knotted into dreds and their version of 'baaaa' is painful.

Nick Park's Shaun is a far cry from the real thing.

Sal, you forgot to mention that they stink as well. And are VERY stupid.

Only one animal thicker than a pigeon and that's a sheep.

They make good eating tho especially with mint sauce.

I'm vegetarian and couldn't possibly advocate eating sheep, but if it rids the countryside of a few....

MWHAHAHAHAHA we will rule the world. YOU HUMANS, when will you realise your days are numbered
20/03/2002 at 15:56
Nope. Sheep are definitely not cute. The things is, I wouldn't mind about the dirty coats if only you lot admitted to it in the nursery wallpaper pictures. But what annoys me about you all is that the only pics you're willing to publish are the ones where you're cloud-shaped and Dulux-white.

It lies, down right lies! Spin doctors, the lot of you!

...However, you do feature in a lot of good dishes around the world.

20/03/2002 at 16:21
The sheep in my casserole dish is looking pretty stupid.
20/03/2002 at 18:21
the ones in my shepards pie definately do

You are a load of anti-sheepetics.

I think it's because you are afraid of what you don't understand. Sheepy intellect is so far advanced that it's beyond your perception.

Remember when people though that dolphins were just fish fingers 'on the hoof'?

I am quite willing to believe that sheep are nearer discovering the warp drive than humans.

Surely Jeannie that should be thought?
After all you are a teacher and you really should set an example :-)
21/03/2002 at 08:26
Of course I set an example.

A baaaaaaad one. Hee hee.

;0)

Anyone can make a sheepy typo after a long day. And a 3 hour theory exam after school about mountain safety. Yes! It's that assessment time of year. I get my results phoned through at home sometime in the Easter hols. 3 hour exams, hey? Thought that I was finished with all that!

OK to show all you ANTI-SHEEPETICS
I feel an image change coming on.

Up the sheep!

Sheep have certainly discovered time travel. I've got one in my freezer, I'll let it out sometime in the future!
21/03/2002 at 09:36
There's half a Wharfedale lamb in my freezer, too. Well, parts of one. Been a bit cannibalistic recently.

A cryogenically sealed sheep?

Is it still 'fluffy'?
