Thread update notifications

Hs anyone else noticed the disappearance of email thread notifications since the transfer to the new server?

Or (call me Mr Paranoia), is it just me?

And why don't the links jump to the new message?

The Magicalia sites were switched to new servers last weekend. That means that things will be much quicker from now on in, unfortunately there are some associated technical problems - things I don't quite understand - which have affected stuff like forum notifications.

The tech team are fully aware of the problems and are working hard to sort it out asap, or no Christmas dinner for them...

All I can do right now is apologise and assure you that in the longer term it will be for your own good ;-)

Sorry everyone, it's one of the symptoms of the server migration thing we did last weekend. Apparently some piece of third party software - as in 'that's the third party the tech team have been to this week' - is to blame.

We're aware of the problem and the techies are rocking round the clock to sort it out. Or maybe they're just at another party. In any case, it should be sorted sometime this year. Hopefully.

In the mean time, the new latest replies option makes it easier to catch up with thread updates etc.

Oh yes it do! And the update to that update (!) tells you which original forum that thread lived in, which is nice and helpful.

Oh!! How I wish we could search fora (Latin head on this morning - must be the Italian wine from last night) again! I want to show Em that Avid Merrion link but can't find the bloody thread and a yahoo search won't reveal the site's URL. Anyone?
