I'm not going to be around for this but Somerset House (The Inland Revenue's building) have some fantastic pavement fountains in their courtyard. I reckon this would make a superb waterproofs testing zone and have often considered donning some and running round in there til I got chucked out.

How about an OM waterproof testing and outdoor show meet?

Only just seen this. Damn.

What with it being Saturday, I reckon the office will be deserted.

Will just have to shell out the cash I reckon.

Any one else got tickets for the London show then?

So far it would seem only 3 of us have.

alex

no need for a passport - from your picture no will notice you as you look like all the rest of us down here.

you will need to develope a taste for good beer served in the most awful way at a most extortionate price though......
07/12/2003 at 16:31
Cheers BoB.

I've heard that everyone down there drinks something called "larr-gerrrr-shan-dey", out of half pint pots with handles. Is this true?

Still no takers for the rest of the tickets? Looks like that hot line is gonna be busy on Monday morning...
07/12/2003 at 16:45
nah! the shane dee died out when the bars ran out of cherries to adorn the glasses with.

vodka ice & lager "shane dee" is most popular at present as it's seem a a grown up manual version of vodka/red bull......:-)
(well amongst australians i know anyway...they can't want to kill the pain of defeat that badly surely)
07/12/2003 at 17:41
After a bit of research it appears that the reason the beer is (a) overpriced and (b) poorly served is because of the fact that the majority of bar-staff in "Lun-Dun" are Australian.

They are trying to get their own back.

Alex,

The drink of choice surely is Lager Top (a curious mix of Aussie beer and Top Deck lemonade...)

Anyway, just phoned up and after much faffing, got tickets for Saturday!!
