I can't remember what is was but I was told that Millets or Blacks (same company) always used to win cos they nobbled it, but then something changed and now YHA always does.

Or something.

:o)

I just find it hard to see a Millets as a "best outdoors shop".

It's rather like a Burger King being shortlisted in a best restaurant.

You mean there's better restaurants than Burger King??

<noise of vomiting off>

Coming back from Wales last weekend we stopped off at some services for a snack. The hot food counter looked unappetising (as did the food it covered under it's sleazy sneeze guard LOL) so we got a burger. The only outlet was Burger King.

What a lot of cr*p! They make McBurger taste reasonable!
Perfectly dreadful.

And no thermidor sauce

NO!
BK is better than Mcgastroenteritus burgers!

But In McD you can taste meat in between the cardboard!

They are BOTH guilty of crimes against food.

Evil and must die.

In fact death's too good for them.

Thats onl cos you're a veggie, and therefor cant enjoy the lovely BSE burgers that they sell for such a small and reasonable sum.

Reasonable?
Kids' meal - McD £1.99 BK £2.99

Meal deal McD £2.99 BK £4.99

The pancakes with syrup, while card-ish in texture are quite reasonable to eat

Thats a pittance to pay for such marvelous cuisine Jeanie! You just want to have your cake and eat it, dont you.

Bet you'd happily pay £4.99 for such a scrumptious meal in a posh restaurant.

Poor McD and BK, they get so much stick.

yep!

Now little chef - that's expensive but how many of us have stopped there on the way back from the hills.

I didn't eat in MacCrap even before I went veggie.

They are both just awful sh!te. They destroy local cultures around the world, by forcing the closure of local restaurants and destroy local environments by polluting the area with their masses of packaging.

Both are another example of the Americanisation of OUR culture. Far from stimulating and enhancing competition they destroy it.

As for a meal...well you are hungry half an hour after eating one.

Even my kids hate MacCrap. They see it for what it is; a devils martketing idea to get kids into the shop (I won't call it a restaurant) with the promise of a "toy" (which is in reality a peice of dust gathering tat), and bland, boring and unintersting food.

MacCrap and Burger Thing...DON'T DO IT!

Whoa Strong views on that subject...moving swiftly on!
