brilliant tour for the sky team, today they were awsome and maybe made it look a lot easier than im sure it was.

Yayyy! Wiggins!

Oh, how satisfying it is to stick one up the French

Well the Vuelta is making the Tour look like a cake walk...beast of a route...stunning riding from Purito....

Lovely mountains in northern Spain too

(I've only ridden a few of them and at nowhere near those guys' pace!)

Just watched the highlights (live was in French) - brutal.

We rode down through France then across 'those' mountains to Santiago one summer...not at 22% though

I've just caught the ITV4 highlights on itvplayer (no telly). That final climb was just ridiculous - I think I'd need all day just to push my bike up there!

It's looking more and more like Rodriguez' race, not clear what else Contador can try (it's probably too late for drugs )

Picos de Europa on Wednesday...

Its not really a 'Tour' as such is it? More a series of hard stage races....perhaps slightly slanted to facilitating a Spanish climbers win

Contador is certainly missing stamina and Froome was exposed as being off par with a (for him) weak time trial. Purito appears to have upped his game all round.

I've been really enjoying it and getting in to it.  Le Tour quite often has rather big gaps between stages too.  Froome's got a pretty good excuse: 2nd in Le Tour, and an Olympic Medal all in the very recent past.  His remarkably positive interview at the end of yesterday was good to see.

Maybe they did plan it for a Spanish climber to win, but the point is it's a great race, day after day.  I'm hoping Purito can keep it.

Pete.

Ay caramba!

Would you like your hat cooked Matt ?

I've just seen the news - a group breakaway at 60km followed by an individual one at 13km apparently. Can't wait for the highlights to see how the hell Contador did it...  as well as the scenery on the road to Fuente De
