I've been really enjoying it and getting in to it. Le Tour quite often has rather big gaps between stages too. Froome's got a pretty good excuse: 2nd in Le Tour, and an Olympic Medal all in the very recent past. His remarkably positive interview at the end of yesterday was good to see.
Maybe they did plan it for a Spanish climber to win, but the point is it's a great race, day after day. I'm hoping Purito can keep it.
