No sorry, don't have any climbing guides for round there.

There's a guidebook called 'Lancashire Rock', which would cover that area.

Wilton three is a good beginner's quarry. See Lancashire Rock c/o BMC for info. You might also try Cadwell Rocks (known locally as Fairy Battery or Buttery), between Darwen & Bolton. Good evening crag as it catches the late sunshine - when there is any! Can get a bit midgy in summer. Brownstones quarry, above Wilton is also quite good.
All these crags & many besides are listed in Lancs Rock.

Errr Amazon will sell you the Lancashire Climbing Guide (she said drily) don't expect to find it published free on the net.

alternative: (more helpful now) try the forums on UKclimbing

Daniel - three people on here now have told you that you need to beg steal or borrow (or even BUY) the guidebook called 'Lancashire Rock'.

I think there's a bit of a theme developing here that you seem to be missing.....

these types of guidebooks are well worth the money, specially for your "local" crags, try the BMC web site, or any half decent outdoor shop

Concur totally, Dave. In fact we've just replaced our well-loved copy of Yorkshire Gritstone seeing as it had got so far past dog-eared it was distinctly chossy!

Daniel, I have in my hand a copy of Rock Climbs in Lancashire and the North West, 1975!
I lived in Preston 1981-82 and did quite a lot of climbing in this area. Brownstones was excellent for bouldering. The Wilton quarries were great, but you need to be climbing at least HVS to get the most from them. Cameo was an absolute stonker in Wilton 1.
Cadshaw and Anglezarke are also very good. There's a good selection of routes of all grades, especially at Cadshaw, but you can always stick a top rope on the harder ones. Keep on pushing!
