Hi, Just wondered what everyone thought of this pan handle ?

Is it easy to use ?

Will it work okay with weights say around 1litre pot of water ?

Does it damage the pot sides ?

I guess not so good with nonstick pans.

Advantages : It's light. I don't know it's size. Can't think of anything else.

Might scratch in the end

About 3" long or so - not got it to hand here at work .

Seriously it works well, I've used one for years now, in preference to the more substantial Trangia pot grab or any other, It'll handle my 2 litre MSR pan full of water as long as you place and grip it firmly. No trouble at all for smaller pans. A simple but effective bit of kit.

Mine works well with pots of varying diameter, from a 0.7l Vargo titanium one not much wider than a mug to a 2l Trangia one. As Matt says, you've just got to be sure to take a firm grip of the lifter. I suppose it might scratch a non-stick coating, but I think it would take a lot of use and would not be in a particularly critical area.

HI, Thanks for your comments. This lifter sounds good and I'm pretty much decided that i will buy one when one comes up next in the sale.
