Peak District Campsite required

Ok, so I'm planning my first trip which will help me to test out some new gear, so I'm looking for a local campsite for a "try out".

I live in Derby, and plan to (motor)bike it one Friday night after work, so Peak District seems most logical.

Just looking for a simple but clean and friendly place to pitch up and test stuff - probably just one night, so who's going to volunteer and share their favourite one?

Anyone tried the little site in Monyash?

sorry ive forgotten the name of the site but if you have the visitor centre on your left go the end of the road and turn right ....theres a great little site down there on the right about 4oo yards down.........1 field.......toilets ...water and washing facilitys...great little site

Monyash, yes a few years ago. campsite / caravan site. clean toilet block with piped music. great cafe in village + pub. we used it as the Friday night for a w/e backpacking trip, so didnt see a greatdeal of it.
