Did we miss a good walking routes site in our TGO article - see above - or do you have a fave we should know about?

Thank you so much for nominating us the 'daddy' of all sites - I think it's a compliment! :) We now have over 2000 walks - a feat of which we are inordinately proud.

The 'paid for content' issue will no doubt run and run. However we have royalties to pay to the OS and to our contributors, as well as all the other costs involved in maintaining the routes. A subscription charge gives us a safe steady way of covering these costs. I would be interested to know what people think about the subscription and whether the level seems fair to them.

www.iwcam.co.uk This is a excellent site with well over 100 routes, each marked on a os map section, with full walk descriptions and pictures. ( and its free!)

I can't believe no-one's mentioned 'StridingEdge.net' yet. (sos, can't do linky thing!)

It's a great site, obviously lakes based, with maps and photos, and lots of easy to use cross-referencing stuff.

Marvellous.
