Fun Decent effort to get round too.

Being pedantic though this surely can't be a Wasdale round? That logically has to start at Ravenglass or at least the other end of the lake.....

When I lived there years ago (in a previous millennium) that route counted as a 'Wasdale Round'. Anyone who started and finished at the foot of Wast Water was said to have completed a 'Full Wasdale'.

I was there over the past couple of days, but only got round the Mosedale Horseshoe and over Great Gable.

Blimey, that's a big walk. I've done the Mosedale round but I'm not sure I'd fancy taking on a 'full Wasdale' Well done!

Although curiously the actual data isn't that scary - 34k and 2900m up/down in Tunrbull's Lakeland challenges. Awfully rough terrain in a lot of places though.

Thats actually for the full route, but I doubt if thats much harder. Seatallan vs Yewbarrow is slightly further I guess but probably rather easier. And the screes aren't much extra distance or ascent.

Suppose the fullest route (from Ravenglas, including Muncaster) is the Irt watershed, which would certainly make a logical two/three day camping trip by train.

thanks for all your responces sorry never posted back before. I wasn't sure what to call the walk and didn't know there was a full round but going to looking into doin gthat walk it looks a fantastic route. is that book still published?

it was a fantastic day and a great route mite change the name to Wasdale summits.

thanks again and if your intrested i have done a trip report on my blog now.

is there many people that do the big walks like the 2 you said on this forum would like to get to know some more people that do the big stuff

thanks again

Yes, Lakeland mountain challenges published by Grey Stone books. But really its a bit obvious from a map (asides from all the tricky bits in the middle which you've done!)
