Take a look at v-g.me.uk. The author is fairly prolific, and though most of his hikes are in Wales there are plenty of others further afield. Lots of photos, not so much chat.
For something a bit more exotic, you should try Hiking Taiwan. As a last resort, the Backpacking Light forums often get some nice trip reports too (and there's a looooong archive), but you might have to register.
