On a day when the temperature was set to reach the 28°C mark a simple walk around Derwentwater combined with a short sail seemed to be a good idea. Starting from the NT's Great Wood carpark we made our way around Derwentwater to arrive at High Brandelhow just as the Keswick launch was arriving.
After a trip over to Kewick and something to eat we returned to Great Wood via Friar's Crag.
All in all a very pleasant day although it as to be said a tad too warm for me.
