We awoke to a beautiful morning and after a rather hurried breakfast we were soon away for this short walk at High Dam followed by a visit to the National Trust's Fell Foot Park at the foot of Windermere. We usually do the High Dam walk from Finsthwaite where you can park near the church but we decided to go to the High Dam car park as it was Sunday. The High Dam car park is now a pay & display park but fortunately for us the machine was out of order today. The short walk was followed by a visit to the National Trust's Fell Foot Park at the foot of Windermere where many were enjoying the facilities offered there.
Pictures from the walk and the visit are now available to view on the website for those wishing to do so.
Regards,
Dave
