Hi Om's
I've just returned from a mini-break in The Lakes. After a 30 year gap it was nice to re-acquaint myself with the fells of the South Lakes. I stayed at the luxurious Gilpin Lodge in Bowness and was treated like a Prince.
I decided to join a couple of LDNP guided walks and legged it up Catstycam, striding edge, Great Gable and Haystacks in blistering heat. The volunteer guides were very knowledgeable about the area, treating us to witty anecdotes and choice Wainwright quotations
I did run out of water a couple of times and now have a bladder for my Osprey Stratos (better late than never).
