Anyone stayed in one? If so what are they like? I've booked one in Wasdale for this weekend just a bit curious of other peoples experience.

If by 'pods' you mean things like this, then yes, I have stayed in them  a few times.  They are a little bit like sheds with sleeping platforms, a light bulb and, if you are lucky, a small electric heater.

I find them to be really cosy and welcoming, especially after a long day when I can't be bothered to put up a tent.

I have only ever shared one with people I know so it might be diferent experience if you share with strangers as they don't have much personal space.

Forgot to add;

I would love to come along this weekend Kate, but I have just forked out loads of cash on that red heap of junk that resembles a car

Blog thing link from my last Wasdale adventure.

Nice report, Richard. 'Red heap of junk' is actually being quite euphemistic about your colander on wheels

£600 and it still doesn't start.

Flogging a dead metal horse I think.

Ahhhhhh OM Meet = Rain and gale force winds!!!!

I didn't spot that course I'll come and say hello if I can spot you lot. I'll be easy to spot as I'll be in one of the Pods!

Won't be arriving till Saturday though, but most definitely be in the Wasdale Head on Saturday night.
