Car parking Glenfinnan/Mallaig

Next month I'm planning a quiet amble over 3 or 4 days from Glenfinnan to Inverie. Unfortunately, this trip I'm not able to use public transport, so is there somewhere in Glenfinnan or Mallaig where I could leave my car with a good chance of finding it still there in one piece when I return? As a Cornish Welshman, I have faith in our Scottish allies, but those darn tourists...

theres parking space next to bridge at the start of the track under viaduct in glenfinnan. ive never had a problem parking here but that could be down to the shiteness of my car.

I'd just leave it in Fort William and get the train (or Shiel Buses service) through to Glenfinnan, if the times work out. The railway carriage accommodation at Glenfinnan Station is a good bet (better than the Corryhully hovel, anyway).

The car park as you enter Mallaig on the left overlloking Rum is where folks leave their vehicles if travelling to Inverie and the Small Isles. I think the notice says no overnight parking but no one bothers about it. It does fill up quickly though with 'tourists'. I've always managed to find a space and never had any problems.

I just parked up at Kinloch Hourn and walked in for a week of wandering. The car was ok there at the road head. It is pay tho at the cafe there, /is cheap enough.

Unless it has changed there is parking at the back of the harbour in Mallaig where you can leave your car for up to 5 days. We have parked here on two occasions when on canoeing expeds.

Just remembered we have also parked in Glenfinnan Hotel. They never used to charge but I think they may do so.

Thank you all for your help/advice. There seem to be more than enough options. Of course, it would be a big help if you could phone the local TICs, but, hey, we've all got to share the pain of austerity, and obviously tourists have too much money, so what's the point of having accessible TICs?
