Perhaps they were just suggesting that girls now make for themselves some bigger more manly dinners to eat, not little slimming diet things! After all you needs your strength out there in them thar hills!

It was Hugh years ago apparently, remarking on the forum that ladies should be helped over gates and stiles by male walkers. Made the letter page on a newspaper and started a bit of a feminist/ageist backlash some years ago I'm told!
