"Glamping" the Pennine way. ?

National park bosses have given the go-ahead to a plan for camping pods on the route of the Pennine Way.

The 10 wooden pods will be installed at Crowden campsite in the Peak District, the first to gain approval in the national park.

Having used pods in the Lakes both in Langdale and Wasdale I have no issue at all, sited well they blend into the scenery and will leave no lasting trace ant the end of their servicable lifetime, just gives another option.

They're visually pleasant. Better than most tents. And caravans.

I guess you're right, as long as it doesn't attract wheeled suitcase types up Kinder.
