Hi,
Planning to walk Helvellyn (through Striding/Swirral Edge) in the weekend and i am keen to get any update if it is doable without crampons/ice axes.
Up till last week the Lake District Weather Forecast website was mentioning snow at 900m, but have not seen any update lately.
Is there still snow/frost in the summit? If yes, is it walkable/scramable?
Otherwise if there is snow and the weather is bad (which it will probably be) is the easy route from nethermost pike safe?
Many thanks!
A
