Realtime weather in the Fannaichs

The Met Office webcam at Loch Glascarnoch is working again. That's at NH277743 on the A835.

May be of interest to some - realtime ( well, almost - every 30 mins ) views of the weather in the Fannaichs, plus a link to the windspeed, direction, temperature, visibility etc for each hour over the past 6, or graphically for the past 24. Handy if you are thinking of a trip towards An Teallach, Fisherfield or Beinn Dearg. Personnally I just like staring wistfully at the panorama and wishing I was there. There is a similar setup for Aviemore, but the views aren't so good. I find the wind gust speed interesting - typically double the 'steady' speed, and that's down at 260m.

There is an excellent webcam here showing Skye from the Kyle of Lochalsh. However without a date and time stamp it is useless as an informative weathercam.  I have tried emailing them, but have had no response, maybe if they got a few more requests they may add the date and time stamp!

Do you think the bloke in the white van has run off with the camera ?

We have had a whole month of this camera working, has to be a record for the met office!

It looks like it, doesn't it. What a shame. still, a great view to close on. Hopefully they will get it sorted a bit quicker this time.
