New Profile Image

Decided the cuddly monkey image was getting a bit threadbare so fancied changing my profile pic.

Hunted the forums / web in general looking for advice on how to reduce the file size of an image to 12k but no luck.

Any suggestions?

If you're running Windows XP, there's a free handy "PowerToy" on the MS website for Picture Resizing. Don't have the URL to hand - just go to www.microsoft.com and search for PowerToys - some other nice stuff there too.

It worked! The old name worked with the old avatar though but prob not with my normal beardy ugly mug. I'll get the hang of this computer stuff one day...

You could also use microsoft photo editor which has a resize option available. This is what I use before uploading and is really simple. Just click on the arrows to reduce the size then save it (with a different name) and then you can see how many KB it now is.
