Can somebody tell me if Julia Bradbury has released a dvd of the pennine way

Don't know about Julia Bradbury doing one, but I have a much viewed one which came free with Trail or Country Walking a couple of years ago. Narrated by Ian Whatshisname (McLelland/McMillen/??? with the wonderful Barnsley Accent that so suits the topic.

I'll see if it'll copy if you like? Or is it null and void if Ms Bradbury doesn't appear?

Ah yes... 'The Pennine Way from the air' DVD... one of the best freebie DVDs I've ever seen. Narrated by Ian McMillan. Oddly enough, he doesn't give himself any credit for talking about the Pennine Way on his own website. The DVD was done in time for the 40th anniversary of the Pennine Way, and by 'eck, look how much it's changed even in the past few years!

I don't know if Julia Bradbury has released a DVD of the Pennine Way. Is it the sort of thing she's prone to doing? Presumably, if she has any interest in the route, it's because Wainwright did, but remember that he absolutely hated it and was going to chuck the whole thing in the bin at one stage!

I actually prefer the approach used for this DVD as opposed to any that Julia Bradbury might do in the future. Basically... you get to see the Pennine Way... and nothing but the Pennine Way... from start to finish. If you wanted to see a DVD that was just about Julia Bradbury... there are lots to choose from!

The DVD with McMillan's voice-over was never made available for sale. It was given away free with a magazine called Country Walking many years ago. The best you could how for is if someone on here has a copy they could offer you.

In the meantime, I can recommend my guidebook - and if you clink on the Google Books link, you can read the whole intro and get a sample walk for free. Can't do links on the system I'm using here on my desert island trip...
